The much awaited event, the Inter House Cross Country Competition at Sainik school was held with full fervour on 01 Dec 17. Gp Capt RR Lall, the Principal of the school was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The competition was conducted in five categories namely Group A exclusively for class XII cadets who covered 9.5 km, Group B for class X & XI who covered 7.5 km, Group C for cadets of class VIII & IX who covered 5 km, Group D for cadets of class VI & VII who covered 3 km and Group E for girl cadets who covered 1.5 km.
Cadet Husan Kumar from Group A, cadet Siddaram from Group B, Cadet Arun from Group C, Cadet Sharanayya and Cadet Manas from group D of class VII & VI respectively secured the first positions. In group E category, comprising of girl cadets, Cadet Ankita secured the first position. Overall, Katari House was declared as the champions of the Inter House Cross Country 2017-18.
In his address, the chief Guest congratulated the winners and for their display of house spirit. He added that a young cadet of class VI really transforms into a cadet of Sainik School only when he successfully completes the cross country. He complimented all housemasters for raising the morale and motivational level of their cadets to perform well.
