Annual athlete meet 2019

Inter House Athletic meet was held from 04 Dec – 05 Dec 2019 for Junior and Senior division respectively at Sports School Kudige. Mrs Ashwini Nachappa, Olympian and Arjun Awardee was the Chief guest for the Opening Ceremony. Mr Arjun Devaiah, Olympian was the Chief guest for the Closing Ceremony of the Athletic meet. Events like 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m,3000m, 4X100m Relay, 110m Hurdles, Shotput, Discuss Throw, Tripple jump, Long Jump and High Jump were successfully conducted for the cadets. The House wise results are follows.

FIT INDIA Movement - November 2019

Fit India Movement 2019
Fit India Movement – 2019 Program is organized in Sainik School Kodagu in a very grand manner. A Rally was organized on 16 November 2019 to create awareness in cadets who are future of the country to be physically and mentally fit. Rally started in the morning at 06:00 AM from Sainik School Kodagu main gate and covered about 7 kms in Kudige and Dodattur villages till 07:30 A.M.

5) Live life, Love Fitness to be physically fit. Principal, Nearly 600 Cadets, Teaching and non teaching staff participated in the program.

Workshop on Oral Hygiene

An interactive session on Oral Hygiene was held on 31 August 2019. Dr Ganapathy from Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences presented an informative lecture in the afternoon followed by an educative interaction with the cadets. The slides with information on ‘correct methods of brushing’, ‘tooth care’, ‘precautions to be taken to protect teeth in case of accidents’ attracted cadets. This was an initiative taken by the school authorities to improve oral hygiene of the cadets. Sqn Ldr R K Day, The Administrative Officer, Sainik School Kodagu presented a memento to the visiting doctor in appreciation of the lecture. Dr Mahesh and other staff members were present on the occasion.
